Language Of Magic
Museum-quality print on natural white, matte, archival paper using Epson UltraChrome water based HDR inks. Ships unframed rolled in a tube.
This painting was 1 of 8 paintings commissioned for The Spells Deck, an all-levels guide to witchcraft including rituals, recipes and spells. Representing the “Language Of Magic” category, I was thinking about what my brain feels like when someone does a magic trick and trying to figure out how they did it. I tried representing that idea with the shape of a head and blurred thoughts coming together that create a knot of confusion. The deck was produced by Chronicle Books and written by Cat Cabral.
